The Phone Swap - Lia Louis

Thank you to Atria Books for allowing me to read this ARC. I have mixed feelings about this book. I enjoyed the overall storyline and the premise, which immediately caught my attention. However, I had trouble following the characters and the text exchanges at the beginning. This may have been influenced by the ARC formatting, but it made the opening feel a bit confusing.

There were also sections that seemed to drag on longer than necessary, which slowed the pacing. That said, I really liked the central premise of the phone swap and the way the characters found their way back to each other. At its heart, this is a sweet story, and the concept itself is charming and engaging.
