Making Space for Creativity
Today feels like a fresh start. Like so many of us, I’m pulled in a dozen directions, each demand competing for time and energy. I’ve been letting those demands take up all the space in my mind, leaving me tired and depleted. I keep telling myself that once I finish a certain project or reach the end of a list, then I’ll have time to care for myself.
Recently, I’ve managed to build regular workouts into my routine — something I’m truly grateful for. But I’ve realized there’s another part of me that’s been neglected: my creative side. Without it, I feel unbalanced and unsettled.
So, I’m making a commitment to exercise my creative muscle just as intentionally as my physical one. Each day, I’ll carve out time for creativity — maybe it’s crafting, writing, or trying a new recipe. Some days it may be only a few minutes, others a few hours. Just the thought of making that space fills me with excitement. I can’t wait to see how my spirit feels after a week of this practice.
